Develop Models to Inform Composite Power Lift Vehicles (CPLV) Mid-Air Collision Severity Assessment (A91_A11L.UAS.142)

Advanced Air Mobility (AAM) is a growing sector that will rely on a large range of complex vehicles, including Composite Power Lift Vehicles (CPLV). These vehicles are expected to operate in dense urban areas and in diverse weather conditions. The development and validation of CPLV structural and flight models are critical to supporting research that investigates operational risk assessment, such as collision severity. These risks of specific UAS-CPLV collisions need to be established. Failure to conduct this research will result in delays in integrating CPLV safely into the NAS.
